  • ABSTRACT: The paper presents the outcomes from an investigation of bending load-carrying capacity of plate with non-circular opening. The main purpose of the investigation is directed to obtaining an assessment of the beneficial effect of applying of different methods for cold expansion of preliminarily drilled holes situated in the zones with fillets. The task is solved as series of numerical simulation are carried out. The comparative analysis is made on the basis of the residual hoop normal stress redistribution around the concentrators after positive and negative bending moment loading. The loading is applied by preliminarily determined kinematic impact. It is proved that the method called Controlled Symmetry Cold Expansion ensures the most intensive and homogeneous compressive zone around the concentrators.
